  1. 1Then Job answered and said,Compare translations of Job 23:1
  2. 2Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.Compare translations of Job 23:2
  3. 3Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!Compare translations of Job 23:3
  4. 4I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.Compare translations of Job 23:4

  6. 6Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.Compare translations of Job 23:6

  8. 8Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:Compare translations of Job 23:8
