Bible Verses is designed for a simple journey: find a reference, read its context, compare every public-domain translation that renders it, and keep editorial summaries distinct from AI-generated help.
Public navigation and sitemaps cover the 66-book Protestant canon plus the 15 books of the King James Apocrypha, which are labelled as such wherever they appear. Database records outside that contract are not published while their source, rights, naming, and navigation remain unverified.
Every supported verse links to nearby verses and its full chapter. Topic summaries and comparison pages are reading aids, not substitutes for the surrounding passage or a study Bible.
This site does not provide pastoral, medical, mental-health, legal, or crisis care. A named theological review roster and public corrections workflow are not yet in place; that is a known limitation.
Translation sources
The reading database carries 8 English translations, every one of them public domain. Copyrighted translations such as the NIV, ESV, NLT, NASB, CSB and MSG are not reproduced here in any form.
A translation is only imported when its verse numbering lines up with the King James text already in the corpus, checked chapter by chapter. Sources that number verses differently — the available public-domain Douay-Rheims file is one — are rejected rather than shown against a reference they do not match. Where a source and the King James text disagree only in parts, those books are excluded: the World English Bible Apocrypha is served except for Sirach, the Additions to Esther, the Prayer of Azariah, the Prayer of Manasseh and 2 Esdras.
Comparison pages identify the available version and wording without claiming manuscript, doctrinal, or translation superiority.

Topics & editorial scope
Topic pages combine stored verse selections with short site-authored summaries. They aim to help readers enter a passage, not flatten every verse into a promise for every situation. Context links are part of the product for that reason.
Topic copy is not currently attributed to a named theological reviewer. Sensitive subjects such as anxiety, healing, grief, conflict, or abuse should never be treated as a diagnosis or a reason to avoid qualified care.
AI study helper
AI explanations are labeled. The helper receives the selected KJV verse, nearby verses from the same chapter, and the question. It is instructed to cite those supplied references, distinguish inference from text, acknowledge interpretive disagreement, and avoid claiming divine or professional authority.
A model can still be wrong. Do not enter names, contact details, or sensitive personal information. Questions are sent to the configured AI service to generate a response; the application route does not write question text to its own database.
If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services and a trusted person now. The AI helper cannot provide crisis response.
