“A sword upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword upon her treasures; and they shall be robbed.”
Context
34Their Redeemer strong; the LORD of hosts his name: he shall throughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
35A sword upon the Chaldeans, saith the LORD, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise
36A sword upon the liars; and they shall dote: a sword upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed.
37A sword upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword upon her treasures; and they shall be robbed.
38A drought upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it the land of graven images, and they are mad upon idols.
39Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell and the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation.
40As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour thereof, saith the LORD; shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.
