And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Lo, children an heritage of the LORD: the fruit of the womb reward.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

Children’s children the crown of old men; and the glory of children their fathers.

Children, obey parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Thy wife as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
