  1. 1Elihu also proceeded, and said,Compare translations of Job 36:1
  2. 2Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that yet to speak on God’s behalf.Compare translations of Job 36:2
  3. 3I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.Compare translations of Job 36:3
  4. 4For truly my words not false: he that is perfect in knowledge with thee.Compare translations of Job 36:4
  5. 5Behold, God mighty, and despiseth not mighty in strength wisdom.Compare translations of Job 36:5
  6. 6He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.Compare translations of Job 36:6
  7. 7He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.Compare translations of Job 36:7
  8. 8And if bound in fetters, be holden in cords of affliction;Compare translations of Job 36:8
  9. 9Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.Compare translations of Job 36:9
  10. 10He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.Compare translations of Job 36:10
  11. 11If they obey and serve they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.Compare translations of Job 36:11
  12. 12But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.Compare translations of Job 36:12
  13. 13But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.Compare translations of Job 36:13
  14. 14They die in youth, and their life among the unclean.Compare translations of Job 36:14
  15. 15He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.Compare translations of Job 36:15
  16. 16Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait a broad place, where no straitness; and that which set on thy table should be full of fatness.Compare translations of Job 36:16
  17. 17But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take holdCompare translations of Job 36:17
  18. 18Because wrath, lest he take thee away with stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.Compare translations of Job 36:18
  19. 19Will he esteem thy riches? not gold, nor all the forces of strength.Compare translations of Job 36:19
  20. 20Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.Compare translations of Job 36:20
  21. 21Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.Compare translations of Job 36:21
  22. 22Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?Compare translations of Job 36:22
  23. 23Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?Compare translations of Job 36:23
  24. 24Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.Compare translations of Job 36:24

  26. 26Behold, God great, and we know not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.Compare translations of Job 36:26
  27. 27For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:Compare translations of Job 36:27

  29. 29Also can understand the spreadings of the clouds, the noise of his tabernacle?Compare translations of Job 36:29
  30. 30Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.Compare translations of Job 36:30
  31. 31For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.Compare translations of Job 36:31
  32. 32With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it by that cometh betwixt.Compare translations of Job 36:32
  33. 33The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour.Compare translations of Job 36:33
