Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Thy word a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Your word is a lamp to my feet

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

This is the way, walk in it

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

I know the plans I have for you

A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

The Lord directs his steps

The steps of a man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

The Lord directs the steps of the godly

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

If any lacks wisdom, let him ask

Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

Show me your ways, Lord

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
